The department of Languages and World Literatures, Okanagan campus, requires Sessional Lecturers to teach the following courses during the summer terms of 2024.
Term 1: May 13, 2024 – June 28, 2024
- SPAN 101-001: Beginners’ Spanish I, Online, Mon Thu, 13:00 – 16:30 (3 credits)
Term 2: July 2, 2024 – August 17, 2024
- SPAN 102-001: Beginners’ Spanish II, Online, Tue Wed Fri 8:30 – 11:00 (3 credits)
- SPAN 202-001: Advanced Beginners’ Spanish II, Online, Tue Wed Fri, 12:00 – 14:30 (3 credits)
Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in the field and with experience teaching at the post-secondary level.
Applications will consist of
- a letter of application
- an up-to-date curriculum vitae (detailing post-secondary teaching experience)
- recent teaching evaluations
In the case of new applicants to UBCO, applications will consist of the above plus a transcript of academic records. The compensation rate per credit per period for the department of Languages and World Literatures is $3,093.57, equaling $9,280.71 per 3 credit course.
